Beat your Drum

In my head I call doing the work, "beating the drum."

I'm doing a lot of beating the drum these days, it's positive. It's my drum and I know it's benefiting people and that is satisfying.

However, for all my personal bold steps forward I still feel on shaky ground and feel the pain of the world. And that is why I have hope. I have always felt the fear and the pain, in the past it paralyzed me, it dominated my life, it kept me from living my own life.. and today with the support of teachers, helpers, ancestors, sisters and brothers I can be brave enough to feel the fear and feel the pain and still pick up the drum.

And when I put my drum down I must remember Patcha Mama holds the heartbeat of rhythm for us all.

Don't let the fear stop you from connecting to your own rhythm and making the world better. Embrace it. Live it. You are the one you have been waiting for. Be a medicine for the world by embracing your own drum beat.
