Om 'Aum' can be a very simple method to open and close the door to your practice.

It can also be the bow that shoots the arrow of your intention.

Om ultimately serves to connect us to the Unity that we already are. To help shed the illusion of separateness by connecting us directly with Divine source which is within and all around us.

Just like we have different levels of self for the world, (think how you show up during weekday, Sunday and attending a fancy dinner party), the use of Om can be very day-to-day or can be quite grandiose in practice and intention with others or alone.

Of course, OM is not required for your Yoga practice, but just as all the limbs of practice, the more we draw on in practice, the richer our experience on and off the mat.

Sat Nam!
